Twelve talented finalists will fly a Redbird simulator live, onstage at Oshkosh to see which pilot, student pilot, and aviation enthusiast will take home the Flying Challenge Cup
“When we opened the Flying Challenge at Sun n’ Fun last April, we didn’t know if we’d get a hundred participants or several thousand,” says Charlie Gregoire, VP of Sales and Marketing for Redbird. “So we’re pretty happy with the results.”
The Marine Military Academy, U.S. Marine Corps based secondary school will use Redbird’s Redhawk training aircraft and Redbird Skyport’s Migration training curriculum.
While Disney’s Dusty learns how to fight fires on movie screens across the U.S., visitors at Oshkosh can try it for themselves at the Redbird Flight Simulations tent.
Prior to the release of Planes: Fire & Rescue, Disney approached Redbird Flight Simulations about building a Dusty simulator people could actually fly. The result of that collaboration has toured the U.S. promoting the movie, and will be available for flight at Redbird’s tent (Booth 304) at Oshkosh Airventure.
The national seminar and contest combines learning with competition to make mastering the iPad EFB effective and fun

EFB Challenge Edition, a seminar and contest series challenging pilots to get the most out of their iPads and other tablet devices. This Challenge Edition series builds on the iPad Takes Flight! seminar series given by MyGoFlight, maker of premium iPad gear for pilots, to thousands of people over the past three years.
Texas State Technical College, National Aviation Academy and Executive Flyers Aviation have signed on to test the new consumption model and technology platform.
The next phase of the RedHawk Experiment will begin early summer led by Brown Aviation Lease (Brown) and RedHawk Aero, LLC. This phase of the experiment is focused on addressing two problems: affordable access to modern flight training equipment, and improving the substandard user experience for fleet operators.
