Registration is open for students and teachers to participate in the Redbird STEM Lab.
Redbird Flight Simulations will host a STEM Lab in its booth during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017. The Redbird STEM Lab will integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) into aviation themed classes while incorporating Jay Velocity flight simulators into the lessons. One goal of the STEM Lab is to highlight how impactful, hands-on training makes for a fun learning environment.
Classes will run Monday, July 24 to Saturday, July 29 from

On April 11, 2017, Redbird Flight Simulations will help the Lonestar State celebrate “Texas STEM Powered by Aviation and Aerospace Day” at the State Capitol to promote STEM education taught through aviation and aerospace. During the event, government officials and staff, Texas-based companies, and high school students will experience the fun of flight while learning about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Event attendees will take flight in both desktop and full motion simulators provided by Redbird.

In addition to learning to fly with the simulator, members of the high school aero club will also build it themselves, piece-by-piece.
Lakeland Aero Club is proud to announce that they have added a Redbird FMX full motion flight simulator to their fleet. While Redbird Flight Simulations typically prides itself on a “white glove” delivery and installation service for its advanced simulators, they took a different approach with the Lakeland Aero Club when members asked to perform the installation themselves. Two of the club’s student leaders, Katie Esker (a sophomore) and Sean Stoltz (a freshman) visited Redbird Headquarters in Austin, TX last month for installation training. They spent two and half days learning how to assembly and maintain the Aero Club’s new simulator under the tutelage of installation manager, Kenyon Odell. After the simulator was completely built at Redbird, it was then dismantled and put in a crate for shipping. The deconstructed FMX has arrived to Lakeland, ready for the students to build in its permanent home at the club’s new facilities at Lakeland Linder Airport.
