Spring Break at Sun 'n Fun

In April we will load up and head back down to Florida, this time to Lakeland for the annual Sun 'n Fun fly-in. This year the fly-in will begin on Tuesday, April 21 and will run through Sunday, April 26, and as always will be held at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport. We will be set-up in the North Exhibits in space N-28, located just outside Hanger C.

In March we will be heading down to Daytona Beach, FL for the National Training Aircraft Symposium hosted by Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. It begins on the evening of Monday, March 16 and runs through Thursday, March 19. The 2009 Symposium will focus on safety management systems education, adding value to collegiate training, NextGen aerospace education and professional development for educator participants.

FMX and SD Certified by FAA

We are proud to announce that we have received FAA certification for our FMX and SD flight simulators. Both devices are now certified as Advanced Aviation Training Devices making the FMX the first full motion AATD, that is priced at less than $60,000. This certification means that a pilot may now log flight experience in a Redbird simulator toward new certifications and instrument proficiency.

Each year, the University Aviation Association hosts a Fall Education Conference for its members. This year it will be held in Denver, Colorado and hosted by the Metropolitan State College of Denver. Redbird is a proud supporter of UAA and will be in attendance at this year as an exhibitor. We will bring an FMX and an Xwind for demonstration.
