Amid school closures caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Redbird Flight Simulations is launching an online series of the Redbird STEM Lab, the company’s popular, interactive classes for students in middle school and high school. Beginning on March 31st, Redbird’s STEM Director Greg Roark will lead students through six virtual classes aimed at engaging their creativity and continuing to foster their interests in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) outside the classroom.

The latest addition to the Guided Independent Flight Training product line is designed to help student pilots advance faster and more cost-effectively through their instrument training.
For the past two years, Redbird’s Guided Independent Flight Training (GIFT) software has provided student pilots with the lessons, practice, and feedback they need to earn their Private Pilot’s License more efficiently. Now, at AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, the company is unveiling the next phase of the product line: GIFT Instrument Rating.

Redbird introduced a new product that mimics ADS-B In functionality and announced new features and improvements for the Redbird Cloud, Navigator, Tracon, and the visual system of its AATDs.
Redbird Flight Simulations released a new product, Redbird Corvus, which enables electronic flight bag (EFB) connectivity across its line of training devices by providing data akin to that of an ADS-B receiver. In addition to representing own-ship position of simulated aircraft, Corvus also broadcasts attitude and heading reference systems (AHRS) information as well as Traffic Information Services-Broadcast (TIS-B) data. Select Flight Information Services-Broadcast (FIS-B) functionality, such as weather and airspace information, are currently in development and will be available in future updates.

Redbird Flight Simulations is advancing training capabilities for general aviation and business aviation pilots by offering a rehost of Collins Aerospace’s Pro Line Fusion® avionics system as an option in applicable Redbird training devices. The new solution, which combines the fidelity of Redbird’s aircraft-specific hardware with a rehost of the Pro Line Fusion® avionics software, offers an effective and affordable option for advanced avionics and aircraft training.

Redbird Flight Simulations and EAA Warbirds of America believe in promoting and recounting aviation’s past to set the hook for the aviators of the future. In that spirit, the organizations have partnered again to bring two, additional warbird simulators to attendees of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019.
